Resistance is futile. But I must resist the temptation to sign up for yet another race. Indeed it is a very good race, the Great Race of Agoura Hills. But it will be 6 days after the Pasadena marathon and a week before the Carlsbad 5000 x 5. I better be smart about this and pass this race for this year or else I'll run out of money and run the risk of hurting my Achilles or another piece of anatomy. My left Achilles more specifically has been tender and feeling weird lately. I've cut back on the running and I'm hoping that I have enough "stuff" to get through the upcoming Malibu Creek 25k. It's only about 15.6 miles, but that distance can become a bear when you show up with some gimpy wheels.
Is anyone else running the LA marathon? I'm hoping to get some revenge at this old course. I thought I would never get this chance when they changed the course 2 years ago but lo and behold they bring it back! I have clocked my 3 slowest marathons on this particular course. Granted I was dealing with injuries due to my stupidity each time, but I still would like to run a decent race through the streets of LA. I'm hoping the weather will be favorable and to run it around 4:30. I will need to save enough in the tank for the San Diego Rock n' Roll marathon the following weekend! These are the two marathons that I would like to keep running until I finish the other race that we call "life"! This year will be my 6th LA marathon and my 7th SD RnR. Somehow I think it's going to be super hot at both of these races this year. I hope to be ready, but first I must exercise some level of restraint and not sign up for anymore races! :D

Malibu Creek 25k! Malibu Creek 25k! :)
eh...think the 'Great Race' is anything but. Overrated, over-crowded I say.
That's quite a list of races you've signed up for. I'll be at the San Diego RNR for the 2nd time. I'm thinking about doing L.A. one day, probably not this year though.
